Somatic Trauma Resolution

Somatic Trauma Resolution

Somatic Trauma ResolutionTrauma is defined as anything that is overwhelming to the nervous system of an individual, which may include birth, drugs, surgery, accidents and injuries, emotional or physical shock, and abuse, or more ordinary experience. In STR, the client learns how to track his or her own internal bodily sensations, which in turn opens the neural pathways that allow safe discharge of trauma from the nervous system.  Discharge often includes the completion of truncated impulses that help transform trauma into empowerment and healing on all levels. Please note that the goal of STR is not to relive or analyze the trauma, but to regain full function and a vibrant life.
